This is an independent guide to Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli). It is not affiliated with the Bardsey Island Trust, Bardsey Boat Trips, or any official tourism body. Nobody has paid to be featured here. Every recommendation is made because it is genuinely useful to someone planning a visit.
The site exists because planning a visit to Bardsey is genuinely difficult. The island is accessed by a small boat that only runs when the weather allows, the crossing can be cancelled at short notice, and the official sources — while accurate — don’t always answer the practical questions that anxious planners actually have. This site tries to fill that gap.
What makes it different
Most travel content about Bardsey is thin — a paragraph or two scraped from the same sources, with no real understanding of how the crossing works, what to do with four hours on the island, or why September is a better month to visit than August.
